              My Birding Tour to Uttarakhand

         There are numerous motivations to visit the subordinate Indian Himalayas, yet this Tour is for the individuals who need to enjoy the lap of nature, take extraordinary photos and essentially have a good time. This Tour is for the individuals who need to keep association with the flying creatures, nature and untamed life of the "Dev Bhoomi" Uttarakhand.
        From Kolkata,  I started my journey by Rajdhani Exp. for Delhi. Whenever I have time on my hand I prefer to travel by train rather than flight. After 28 hours of journey (as the train was late 2 hours) I reached Delhi. Spending that night at hotel, I started for Sattal next day.
        Sattal of Uttarakhand  is 300 kms away from Delhi and it  took approx 07 hrs.  Sattal or "Seven lakes" is a brought together gathering of seven freshwater lakes arranged in the Lower Himalayan Range in Nainital area of Uttarakhand. These lakes are a heaven for assortment of transient birds and now you get the opportunity to catch all these in your camera  Amid the British time the region had a tea manor. The lakes sit at an elevation of 1370 meters beneath rich plantations in the Mehragaon valley. Set among thick woodlands of oak and pine trees, Sattal is one of only a handful couple of immaculate and uncontaminated freshwater biomes in India.
           1 st day birding at Sattal
         After having a heavy breakfast I went out for Sattal. It was my full day programme of photography close around Sattal. Sattal is a zone favored with much natural flourishing, and its avian populace, which is its delegated greatness, will guarantee that you get an enduring taste of it. I took a lot of photographs of   Babblers, Tits, Bulbuls, Larks, Minivets, Woodpeckers, Pigeons, Myna and the brilliant Barbets. Besides  these birds, there are more than  200 other varieties of birds seen here  and some which is found  just in Sattal area. Being tired and hungry I returned to hotel at evening.
            2nd day Journey from Sattal - Pangot
        After lunch begin my drive to Pangot, another heaven of Birds and nature. Pangot is a little town which lies in the north-western scope of Nainital. This drive will take 02 hrs, The route is through Mehragaon valley having lavish green plantations, a lot of characteristic magnificence and numerous wonderful areas which you can spare in your cameras.
            3 rd Day at  Pangot
        These strolls can be remunerating for catching Red -billed blue magpie, Blue-winged minla, Rufous-bellied Niltava, Euratian Jay, Green-backed Tit,  Woodpeckers, for example, darker fronted, stripe-breasted, rufous-bellied , Grey Treepie, Turtle Dove Maroon Oriole,Himalayan Bulbul and so on. The whole drive is through the forested territory of Naina Peak Range by means of Snow View Point and Kilbury, the fundamental living spaces for fantastic fledgling and nature photography. The woods of Pangot and encompassing zones are ruled by thick Oak, Pine and Rhododendron. The streams going by the zone makes it much progressively alluring spot.
        At Pangot there are many strolling trails through the encompassing wilderness. You can pick your very own trail. You can experience the woods or along the principle street, which seldom observes vehicles cruise by. The oak, pine, bamboo, cedar, rhododendron and different conifers make the walk brilliantly delightful and invigorating. The undergrowth is as entrancing with assortments of greenery and greenery getting through the rich soil. The timberland gets thicker as you walk further. The stream of crisp water streams enhances the living space. You can regularly spy untamed life around the streams. A large group of birdlife occupies this world.
             Return to home
      Four days busy schedule  of photography visit to Uttarakhand, it's time to pack my stuff for returning back to Delhi. It was a very successful tour. Took a lot of  picture. After breakfast jeep started at 8.30 am. Long 10 hours of journey from Pangot  reached Delhi at around 8 p.m. being deadly tired. Taking train from Delhi reached Kolkata with a lot of pleasure.
